Mental health issues affect many of us at some point in our lives, being able to understand and work with this has always interested me. Having been a practitioner for many years, working with clients from childhood to adulthood, I can see the range of benefits to all ages.
Initially I trained as a Registered General Nurse, then on to study a BA (hons) degree at Cardiff University. I then trained as a Psychodynamic Counsellor, accredited by the British Psychoanlaytic Council (BPC), I then furthered my skills and knowledge by attaining a Master of Arts degree in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy accredited by the United Kingdom College of Psychotherapists (UKCP). I work in private practice in Enfield with clients from four years of age through to adolescents and into adulthood, working in both long and short term counselling (10 -12 sessions) using an integrative approach with different therapeutic skills and mediums. I am also a member of the BACP
I can help you with a wide range of life difficulties. Together we can explore the issues that are troubling you whether these stem from your past, the present or your fears and anxieties about your future. Providing you with a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space that will help us develop a unique therapeutic relationship that brings insight and understanding.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed at the thought of coming to therapy or just unsure please contact me. I welcome all ages and work across a broad spectrum.
