Initially I trained as a Registered General Nurse and then went on to study at university a BA (hons) degree at the University of Wales, College of Cardiff.
I then completed a post graduate diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling accredited by the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and set up a private practice working with adults, adolescents and children. I also assess and counsell adults in a Counselling Centre in North London.
I am accreditation with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I work to the ethical standards of my accrediting organisation, the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
I previously spent three years as a child counsellor with the charity Place2be, (www.Place2Be.org.uk), counselling primary school children in North London and facilitating a therapeutic transition group of children. I have completed the level 4 Certificate in Counselling Children (practice) accredited by the CPCAB.
My client group ranges from children as young as five years old, to adolescents through to retirement age.
